With his extensive credentials and experience, Dr. Otto is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) recognized by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). Furthermore, his inclusion on the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry underscores his exceptional standing in the field.
Dr. Otto's academic journey began with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education from George Fox University, where he excelled as a national-class runner, earning a place in the George Fox University Sports Hall of Fame. Following his undergraduate studies, he dedicated 32 years to the field of education as an esteemed educator.
Driven by a passion for teaching and learning, Dr. Otto pursued advanced degrees to further refine his expertise. He obtained a Master's in Teaching Education from Grand Canyon University and a Master's in Education in School Counseling from the University of West Alabama. His commitment to scholarly pursuits culminated in the completion of his EdD from UWS in 2018.
Throughout his career, Dr. Otto made significant contributions as a track and field coach at various levels, including high school, collegiate, and national competitions. His remarkable achievements and dedication to his craft were recognized by his peers, who honored him with the Coach of the Year award in cross country an impressive 11 times. Additionally, Dr. Otto's exceptional coaching skills led to his invitation to participate in the prestigious USOC Emerging Elite Coaching program, where he contributed his expertise to both long-distance running and jumping events.
